What is Counselling?

Counselling provides you with the opportunity to talk for an hour one to one, or as a couple in a safe and confidential space. You will be treated with dignity and respect. Your information will be kept confidential.

Person-Centered Counselling means each session is paced to your needs. This time and space provides you with the opportunity to be listened to, and to feel heard and valued. Problems, concerns or feelings can be talked about - free from the fear of judgement or criticism.

There are many reasons for recieving counselling. You may be experiencing:

  • Feeling low or depressed
  • Being bullied at work
  • Coping with bereavement
  • Feeling overwhelmed by life
  • Loss of self-esteem/confidence
  • Trauma
  • Each person is unique, as is his or her circumstances. Our time together, whether it is one to one and face-to-face or over the telephone, is important, our time together matters, even one session can make a difference as it creates that sense of being heard, listened to and of feeling valued perhaps for the first time.
